Lately I have felt like I *should* be (that's an alarm bell right there!) doing more and/or doing things more systematically/consistently. But I do notice it feels like it's coming from pressure rather than passion. I have a hard time trusting that it's okay to do things the "light" way. Is this about trusting our gut / the Universe / God that *the way* should feel easy, the burden light? Whence the guilt (and fear!) that I'm not working hard enough??
I’m glad you found this encouraging, Rebecca! I agree about the simple things being profound and just because something is cheesy or cliche doesn’t make it any less true.
I needed this simple yet powerful message, so thank you for sharing it! For me, one situation I can try to make lighter vs. righter is potty training my middle kiddo. I'm releasing the pressure to do it "perfectly" and just gonna go for it in my own imperfect but manageable way, make it as fun as potty training a stubborn 3.5yo can be, and pray through the less fun parts! <3
Ooh, this is simple, but so good.

Pressure vs. passion - YESSS that's good, my friend.
I’m not sure why but doing things the “light” way feels like cheating to me, which seems like the opposite of “the burden is light.”
This post was little a warm breeze. What a beautiful question to ask oneself. Thank you!
Thank you, Lisa! A warm breeze is a big compliment, since my internal world is typically stormy!
This is so encouraging! Thank you! Sometimes the simplest things are more profound than we realize!

Oh yes! Potty training is rough and impossible to do perfectly. I’d love to hear what you come up with to make as fun!
Aly thank you for sharing this mantra! I’m going to practice it as well.
You’re welcome, Roshonna! I’m glad it resonated with you 💛 I hope it helps ease your decision making even just a bit.
Hard but true! Thanks for writing 🙂
