“Over time, you will learn that you can get back to your life even when it doesn’t feel resolved, and that you can move forward toward your values even when you’re anxious.”
For anxiety, this hit home for me. This week trying to stop myself hyper focusing on the issue (what a virus leads to). Acknowledging the thing, but not letting it strangle me. I’ll be revisiting this post!
Ooh, yes I like that phrasing, “acknowledging the thing, but not letting it strangle me.” Glad the piece resonated and I hope you find ways to move forward despite the ever-present fear of what sickness could mean.
"noticing where you’re at in the cycle" - thank you for shedding light on Poison masquerading as Safety. It's so wild to not even realize you are *in* a cycle.
Yes, Poison masquerading as Safety, Responsibility, and, at some points for me, even God. Totally wild not to realize you’re even in the cycle and life-changing to disrupt it 🤯
Thank you for such clarity! This is so informative.
Thank you, Kim! It means a lot that you’d take the time to read and understand more about OCD 💛

This is so clear and helpful!
Thanks for letting me know, Catherine! When I first learned I could just allow my uncomfortable thoughts and feelings without doing anything it was 🤯
So insightful, as always Aly!
Thank you, Kelsey!
