“Releasing this need to solve and measure the merit of the decision in every moment was a life saver for the move. Pressing snooze on solving is a life-amplifier now.
When I’m not solving, I can be living.
I can just be.”
What do I want more of? All of it, Aly!” This is SO good! A relatable story and peek into your life, leaf collages, your humor, your learnings and sharing of tools- it’s all exactly what I needed today 💛
Man, so much goodness here! Some of the mindsets and tools you shared about sitting in tension are helpful for me where I am right now, so thank you for sharing. This will be something I need to read through more than once.
Oh my gosh, those fall colors!!! Fall in my corner of Maryland has seemed extra gorgeous this year.
“When I’m not solving, I can be living.”—YEAH, girl!! It was so wise of you to set a date in the future to decide about the move being a good idea and to not let yourself think about it right now.
You packed so much into this newsletter, I want to comment on every little thing! But mostly I just want to tell you that I think you are such a talented and special creative human being, and your presence in our cohort is a gift to us.
Haha, yes maybe wise, but at the time it was out of necessity 😉 I do feel really empowered, though, to continue with that mentality. I’ve always heard “give it time,” but couldn’t really live that out. For me, delaying making a declaration of whether something is good or bad has helped me actually give something the time it needs.
Aw, thank you so much for your encouragement! I love being in the cohort and it makes me so excited that there are at least two more cohorts for me to do (I don’t want this one to end!) It has been so fun to be creative together :)
The funny thing about my Artist’s Prayer is that I wrote it during my “non-ideal writing time” and was really just playing around. Isn’t that the beauty of creating without expectation? Thank you so much for fostering a community and space to experiment and play together.

Thank you, Kristina! I’ve got a lot of fun and hopefully helpful stuff in the works!

Thank you, Kelsey. I’m glad my journey can be helpful to you as you sit in the tension of your current season. (Or micro-season 😂)
🤣🤣🤣
Lovely working here!! I felt like we got to go on a journey with you!!!
Thank you for coming on the journey with me, Laura!
So much good stuff in here, Aly! I had postpartum pre-eclampsia too, with my youngest—it’s such a terrifying experience!
Thanks, Laura!
Oof! I had no idea postpartum pre-eclampsia was a thing until it happened to me! So terrifying! I’m glad you and your little are okay ❤️
Oh, moving. Yes, one of the hardest things! Thank you for sharing your process and your story.
Yes, moving is so stressful and I am so happy to be on the other side! Thank you for reading and following along my journey, Ashley!

Your Artist Prayer gets me every time.
I VERY MUCH WANT TO SEE YOU IN JANUARY!! 😜❤️❤️
Yes, fall has been so beautiful!

Just signed up for the January cohort!!!!! But what will I do from December-January??
SO fun to be creating together.
I know, it’s going to feel weird to not be in a group for a while!
Come to Creative Happy Hour on Dec 6! 🥰
